Longstock Capital and Mactaggart Family and Partners are bringing forward exciting proposals for a high-quality regeneration of Canons House.
Our proposals will regenerate the landmark site whilst respecting Bristol’s heritage creating flexible grade A office space for the city which will allow multiple tenants to be on site.
Our vision for Canons House is to become one of the best office buildings in Bristol and to create an exemplary low carbon retrofit. We will build on the existing high-quality design of the existing buildings and through these small but highly important interventions, this landmark building for the city will better suit modern-day office working and be future proofed for many years to come.
We are currently undertaking a period of public consultation and please do feedback on our plans via the having your say page. Following the consultation period and evaluation of the feedback received, we will submit a planning application to Bristol City Council in the coming months.
If you wish to speak to a member of the team, please get in touch via the details listed at the bottom of this page.

As part of our consultation, we will host an in-person event which will introduce the team, share our proposals, and will allow local people to provide feedback and have their questions answered.
The feedback received during the consultation will be reflected as much as possible in our proposals.
If you are a member of a local organisation or you own your own business locally and you would like to speak to us, please get in touch using the contact form on this website or the contact details below and we would be happy to speak with you.
The site has an interesting history, from its origins as a marsh [known as Canons Marsh], to being part of Bristol’s trade industry, with yards, docks and railway connections in the late 19th and early 20th century.
By the 1920s the large Tobacco Bond warehouses had been constructed on the site of the current buildings.
Between 1986-1987 Arup Associates had a new vision for the site and designed Canons House in two phases for Lloyds Bank. The vast warehouses were demolished in 1988 to make way for the buildings that stand today. The buildings are currently in great need of improvement works and regeneration.
